- Hasan Qarluq, Saif al-Din
- AKhwarazmi noble whom Ming-barni had deputed to control territories west of the Indus River in 1222. As Khwarazmi authority in the region crumbled under Mongol pressure, Hasan Qarluq moved out and established himself in lower Sind. After the elimination of Qubacha (1227), Hasan Qarluq sub-mitted to Iltutmish. He continued to control a considerable territory in the Punjab until 1236. In that year, following Iltutmish's death, he shifted his allegiance to the Mongol authorities who controlled Ghazni and Ghaur. Hasan Qarluq was operating in the region around Multan until 1249. He is reported to have eliminated Kabir Khan Ayaz, another Turkish freebooter, from there in that year.
